Job description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cloud solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.
• Automate and streamline cloud-based operations using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Work with development teams to create cloud-based applications and services.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and provide solutions. Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Ensure cloud environments meet industry best practices and security standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and IT teams to support business-critical systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with cloud automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other relevant languages.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot cloud-based issues.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with databases, both relational and NoSQL, in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and others related to cloud environments.
